TechDoc 9.2.1 Released

TechDoc 9.2.1 has been released as a Setup program and a Patch. The setup program is intended to be used for a new installation or an upgrade of TechDoc 9, 9.1, or 9.2. The patch is intended as a much quicker way to patch TechDoc 9.2 to TechDoc 9.2.1 with the least number of changes possible. The TechDoc 9.2.1 release is intended to fix two issues:

TechDoc Client 10 Build 06/10/2019 Released

TechDoc Client 10 Build 06/10/2019 has been released and features the following improvements:

  • Updated Java JRE to Amazon Corretto 8 update 212. This provides the latest Java security and updates without the customer having to purchase commercial licenses from Oracle.
  • Added support for servers running TechDoc 10 while still maintaining full support for TechDoc 9 servers.
  • Added support to better handle single sign-on accounts that map to multiple TechDoc user accounts. The server must be running TechDoc 10 for this improvement to work.

Render 9.2.3 is Now Available

Render 9.2.3 is now available on the TechDoc 9.2 Downloads page. If you already have a Render 9, 9.2.1, or 9.2.2 VM, you can update it by simply following the section called "Periodic Maintenance of the Render VM" in the Render Installation guide. The following is a list of changes from Render 9.2.2 to Render 9.2.3:

Render 9.2.1 is now available on the TechDoc 9.2 Downloads page. If you already have a Render 9 VM, you can update it by simply following the section called "Periodic Maintenance of the Render VM" in the Render Installation guide. The following is a list of changes from Render 9 to Render 9.2.1:
  • Support for Microsoft Office 2019, Project 2019, and Visio 2019.1
  • Improved watermarking of PDF files:
    • Now supports streams that include an object zero even though the lowest object number allowed is one per the specs.
