The DocuBrain.com web site is now running on Backdrop CMS. It was a bit of an effort but we feel that we will be able to better serve our customers. We will be spending less time maintaining the site while our customers can enjoy the more responsive experience that Backdrop CMS offers.
We are still in the final stages of porting the Forums to the Backdrop CMS way of doing things but it shouldn't be much longer until you will be able to post to the forums.
In TechDoc 10.1 and below, certain features like Export Group Members and Export Valid Keyword Values relied on a browser popup to initiate a file download. Unfortunately, recent security changes to several browsers block this functionality by default. In TechDoc 11, the method is being changed to avoid the issue. In the mean time, here are instructions on how to reenable the functionality in each browser. Simply replace TECHDOC.HOST.NAME with the full host name of the TechDoc server that you want to apply the workaround to.

In the past, TechDoc has always required that any Search Manager (SM) running on another server that a Document Manager (DM) sends updates to must already be running the version that the DM is getting ready to update to. Starting with TechDoc 9, this requirement is being eased. The SM and DM are only required to be running the same major version number. For instance, if you are getting ready to update a DM to Release 9, the SM can be running 9, 9.1, 9.2, etc. If you are getting ready to update a DM to Release 9.1, the SM can be running 9, 9.1, 9.2, etc.
PDFEngraver ™ is a new product that will be available shortly. The product will allow you to easily create engravings files that contain one or more watermarks and/or stamps. An engravings file can then be applied to one or more PDF files to quickly add the watermarks/stamps to them.
We get asked about why doesn't TechDoc have this HTTP header or that HTTP header; most often due to a security scan that was run against a server where TechDoc is running. Depending on the Security tool used at your site, you may get a whole host of potential vulnerabilities displayed. We've seen tons of them come and go. Most of these only work on specific browsers that support them. If the user's browser honors the header then it helps, otherwise it doesn't do anything.
