We have successfully completed full regression testing of TechDoc 8 running on SQL Server 2014. No changes were required to TechDoc 8 in order to support the new version of SQL Server. If you are installing a fresh copy of TechDoc 8, we now support SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012, or SQL Server 2014.
If you are upgrading from TechDoc 7, 7a, or 7b, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, if your database is running on SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005, you must upgrade your database to SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2008 R2. Then upgrade to TechDoc 8. Finally, you can upgrade the database to SQL Server 2012 or SQL Server 2014 if desired.
