Our last User Acceptance Test document was provided as part of the TechDoc 9.0 release. As you probably know, almost no commercial products provide UAT documents to end-users.
The document tended to cause end-users to test the release exactly as we suggested, rather then to test it in a way we may not have envisioned. This lead to very rigid testing, which seldom found problems. When we released TechDoc 9.1 without a UAT document, end-user testing appeared to be much more successful at identifying issues and improvements that users wanted in the next release.
